Four weeks already? Just doesn't seem possible. As of yesterday, I was the proud mother of a 3 1/2 year old son, an almost 2 year old daughter and a 4 week old daughter -- and I still find myself wondering where the time has gone and even more, how I got so lucky!?! God is good.
Piper, who turns two in just two weeks is really blossoming in her new role as "big sis." She and Gray have become allies no doubt and it's been really cute to see their relationship grow. It goes something like this: Monkey see, monkey do. Piper adores her big brother and her baby sister so much. With Hadley, she's always trying to help. Each morning, as we enter her room, her first word is "Haddie." Sweet. And with Gray, she just observes his every move and learns.
Gray is about to wrap up his first year of pre-school. Hard to believe that Piper will join him next year. He's had such a great experience -- he's grown so much socially and his vocabulary has exploded. We're so proud of our sweet lil Gray. He's becoming such a smart and kind boy. And he's funny too. He's definitely an entertainer. Most recently, he does "the robot." Gray keeps his parents and no doubt, his teachers, laughing.
And Hadley ... what a sweet baby. Her title of "angel baby" may have been retracted as she's no longer sleeping 5+ hours a night, but she's only 4 weeks old - cut her some slack, right!? She's still a gem and we love her so. Her eyes are surprisingly still blue. I remember both Gray and Piper had steel gray eyes at birth but Hadley's seemed more blue. I'm not exactly sure at which point they changed, but we're enjoying watching and waiting. Both Gray and Piper have beautifully amazing, large brown eyes. I'll take Hadley to the Doctor next week for her 1 month check-up and I'm anxious to see her weight gain and what the Doc says. She seems to be eating very well (and often) and I feel as though her clothing is fitting more snuggley. How fast they grow!
We're getting so excited for a fun and eventful Summer! Pictures to follow.
