Quick Picture Post

Wow! So, we've got three kids at home (under 3 1/2 years) and it's busy. Here's a quick picture post of what we've been up to over the past few days, since Hadley came home from the hospital. Fun times! More to come. XO

Three's a Charm: Introducing Hadley Grace Kennedy

On Wednesday, April 21st at 12:58 pm, Hadley Grace Kennedy was born. Indeed she brought the sunshine to a dreary, wet, Spring-like day in Baltimore. Hadley was born 1 week early and weighs 8lbs 5oz and is 21 1/4 inches long. We see both Baby Gray and Baby Piper in her ... but at the same time, she's very unique. She's a noisy little thing -- all sorts of coo's and other baby sounds. Big Bro Gray and Big Sis Piper came to meet Hadley last night and it went as well as could be expected. Gray (3) was interested in her, counted her toes (10? Check) and then began pushing the buttons on the hospital bed. Piper (1) was curious but appeared guarded. She admired Hadley from afar but wasn't eager to touch her. Piper did manage to blow her a kiss though. Very sweet. Oh, let the fun begin as we expect to return home tomorrow.

Let the Countdown Begin ...

It's been a while since we last posted. The Winter was full of fun adventures for the Kennedy family. We certainly had our fair share of snow. That said, our snow boots are packed away with no regret.

Baby #3 is expected to arrive in 9 days. My how the time has flown, believe it or not. The beginning half of this pregnancy was challenging, no doubt, due to extreme sickness, but the last half has been absolutely delightful. While we are so excited to meet our dear baby girl, we're also really enjoying these last days of being a family of four and the calm before the storm, that a newborn, although cute and cuddly, brings with it.

Gray, who will be 3 1/2 years old next month, has had a great first year of pre-school. He's made so many new friends and his vocabulary and social skills have just erupted. He's such a sweet and charming young guy! While pirates still keep his attention, he's back to playing with 'Cars' and most recently space shuttles. Gray is very excited for the baby's arrival. Last week, he addressed the baby by name (unprompted) and said "I just can't wait for you to come out and play with us." He claims she is going to be very nice, but loud sometimes.

Piper, who will be 2 years old in June, has really blossomed as well. She's a little comic, no doubt. She's got some gorgeous eyes and she's filled with wonder, curiousity and mischief. Gray and Piper really enjoy playing together as she has adapted to share in some of his interests. Although, she really enjoys playing with her dolls, pretend cooking and reading, Piper will gladly build a fort with her brother or challenge him to a dual. She adores him! Hard to believe Piper will be a big sister soon -- my, oh my!

We'll post pictures with the announcement of Baby K3's arrival soon. And a new website is being prepared.
