Merry Christmas to All!

Fall is here although you wouldn't know it by the unusually warm temperatures. 

But, it's football time and that makes our family very happy.

Here's an update on what's been happening in our world,  starting with the girls ....

Hadley Grace

Hadley is 6 months old and is such a dear. She's delicious is every way. We are so very thankful for her and the blessing she is to our family and to our household. Hadley's rollin' all around this Earth and smiling wide as she goes. And I ask, is there a better way to live? I think not. She's 100% agreeable and perhaps the happiest baby I've ever met.

Piper Louise

 

Piper is our wild child, still. She and I enjoyed her first manicure last Saturday morning. It astounds me as I watch this little child turn into ... dare I say ... a little lady. While she's wild and sooo dramatic, she's quite sensitive and lovable. Almost 2 1/2 years old, she continues to follow Gray around and dote on him. Piper is my "big" princess. I love her so very much and her hugs and big brown eyes warm my soul. There's nothing quite as sweet as her giggle ...

Gray is weeks away from turning 4 ... and I can't believe it. So it's been said, time flies when you're having fun. Very true. Gray continues to be a dear little Prince, I mean Pirate, I mean Prince. He is sooooo good with his sisters and is developing quite a sense of humor. This kid makes me smile each and everyday and it's effortless. He's kind and gentle. Four years too fast. Slow down, life -- will ya?!

Summer Daze

Summer came and Summer went. She was fast but boy was She was fun. Upon review, we spent more time smiling than frowning, more time with family and friends than alone and more time with our feet in the sand or ocean than in shoes. June, July and August received no complaints from our camp and we've got the pictures below to prove it.

Grayson is just months away from turning 4 years old! He's still enamored with pirates and aquatic life. This kid is an outstanding Big Brother! Gray is pretty gentle and patient with his two adoring little sisters Piper and Hadley. He's a natural conversationalist ... not surprising at all if you know his parents well. Gray's return to preschool was terrific. He loves his new teachers and is enjoying spending his mornings with new and old friends alike. Gray's full of questions, loves counting and continues to steal hearts, each and every day.

Piper celebrated her 2nd birthday this June and is wild as ever. While I type this post, she is in her room, crib actually (note, it is nap time) and she's engaged in a sing-a-long / conversation / some sort of theatrical production with a captive audience including me (via Baby Monitor) and several of her closest plush friends. Quite entertaining if I do say so myself. Piper joined big brother Gray at preschool this year and is loving it as well. No tears yet -- a fairly smooth transition from home with Mommy to spending two mornings a week with her classmates. What a BIG GIRL! Next up: Potty training this Fall.

And Hadley ... oh my, sweet Hadley Grace. She turned 5 months old this week and what a delight she is. This time last year, I was one miserable pregnant lady, who could barely keep her head out of the toilet nor her body out of bed. And let me be the first to say, I'd do that all over again for this sweet little baby girl -- her smile melts my heart. And her laugh is infectious, just ask her siblings. Hadley started eating Oatmeal this Summer and we hope to have her on fruits and vegetables next month. Exciting times indeed for this little one. So far, she's following in her brother's footsteps in respect to her personality and chill nature (not to mention, their baby pictures look fairly identical). Hadley is noticeably thriving as seen in her thighs and cheeks. Finally, she rolled over today, which was very exciting for both her and her spectators (me and Piper).

What an amazing day it was! So much energy went into planning this special occasion and every minute of preparation and every dollar spent sure was worth it. It has been said that God works in mysterious ways and this continues to be evident in our life. Sometimes it's not so mysterious and rather blatantly obvious and ever so timely.

Many thanks to all who helped make Hadley Grace's day so very special. She is a gift and we are so very blessed not only for her presence in our life, but for great friends and our loving families.
